Graduated in Dentistry, with a specialization in Periodontics and Implant. Musician and teacher, he also holds a specialization in Sciences/Biology and Educational Management. He has worked in the field of education, communications, marketing and TV production.

Msc. Andrea Quinaud Lacombe
Graduated from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Minas Gerais (Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais) in 1997 with a degree in Accounting; expert in Governmental Accounting by the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (Federal University of Minas Gerais) in 2007 and Master in Management by the Centro de Gestão Empreendedora – FEAD (Center for Enterprising Management) in 2010. Accredited by SEPLAG (State Department for Planning and Management) through the Occupational Accreditation for Managers of the State Public Service in 2008. She was Director of Accounting and Finance at the Secretaria de Estado de Meio Ambiente e Desenvolvimento Sustentável (State Department for Environment and Sustainable Development) from 2003 to 2006. After the merger of the institutions that form the Sistema Estadual de Meio Ambiente (State System for the Environment), she became Director of Accounting and Finance of such system, in which are included: Secretaria de Estado de Meio Ambiente e Desenvolvimento Sustentável, Fundação Estadual de Meio Ambiente (State Foundation for the Environment), Instituto Mineiro de Gestão de Águas (Minas Gerais State Water Management Institute) and Instituto Estadual de Florestas (State Forest Institute) from 2007 to 2010. She worked at the Universidade do Estado de Minas Gerais (State University of Minas Gerais) and later at the Secretaria de Estado da Educação (State Department for Education). At the present time, Director of Planning, Management and Finance at HidroEX.
DIRECTOR OF RESEARCH
Dra. Tânia A. Silva Brito
Graduated in Biological Sciences by the Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP) in 1984; Ph.D. in Oceanography by the University of Southampton (1993); and specialization in Oceanography by the University of São Paulo (1997). Experience in the field of Biological Oceanography with emphasis on cold-water octocoral taxonomy and ecology and Antarctic benthos ecology. She was an advisor on issues of the Antarctic and the sea in the Brazilian Department for Science and Technology from 1997 to 2001. She was an Environmental Coordinator of the Brazilian Antarctic Program in the Department of Environment from 2001 to 2009. At international level, she was a Brazilian Delegate at the Antarctic Treaty Consultative Meeting (during nine years); a Member of the Standing Committee of Environmental Agents of the Management Council of National Antarctic Programs; Coordinator of the Scientific-Environmental Committee of Administrator Meeting of Latin-American Antarctic Programs; and Vice-President of the Environmental Protection Committee of The Antarctic Treaty. She participated in ten Antarctic Expeditions. Currently, she is the Research Director of the UNESCO-HidroEX Foundation.
